KCP&L is updating our electricity delivery system to reflect the challenges of the 21st century. That means giving consumers the power to choose. Smart technology produces a more secure grid that adjusts to consumer preference and lowers the delivery rate of energy.

Energy is changing. It's evolving into a two-way conversation between you and your provider. Utilizing SmartGrid technology allows you to monitor your energy use, instantly adjust settings and save money through efficient practices. SmartGrid technology is being implemented across the world, and its potential will continue to be realized as it's adapted and used by millions of consumers. We're embracing the future of energy.

One of the ways we are doing that is by partnering with local organizations to install 10 new electric vehicle charging stations throughout the KCP&L SmartGrid Demonstration Area. Those site partners and locations are:
