KCP&L’s MySmart Portal is designed to show you how much electricity you use each day and help you estimate your bill, excluding taxes and charges, before you receive it. Giving you this information can help you understand how you use electricity inside your home.

Until now you’ve used energy without knowing how much you were spending. Now, for example, on a hot summer day you’ll be able to see exactly how your usage goes up. That may influence decisions to use electricity differently at those times. You can decide immediately to make an impact on your bill instead of waiting until it arrives to see how much you’ve spent.

MySmart Portal allows you to run reports that:

• Show you information in easy-to-understand charts
• Compare this month’s bill against last month’s bill
• Estimate your monthly bill *
• Give you hourly, daily and monthly electricity usage
• Have all your yearly billing history in charts
• Compare your usage against the other homes in your community
• Send you messages from KCP&L about your usage

* Your estimated bill amount is calculated based on your energy usage and does not include taxes or customer charges
